Your Holland Dutch Boys Varsity Swim and Dive Team travelled to Otsego early Saturday morning for their first meet of the season. Holland competed against Otsego, Allegan, Wayland and Hamilton. Junior, Luke Arendshorst placed fourth overall in the 50 freestyle (25.18) and 100 breaststroke (1:10.61). Fellow junior, Jonathan Ross placed 6th in the 200 Individual Medley (2:25.90). Freshman Urban Cassar took 6th in the 50 freestyle (27.00) and Senior Anthony Poest finished 6th in backstroke with a 1:19.65. Diver Keegan Welsh finished in 4th place with a score of 142.35. “This team is off to a great start!” Said head coach Tonya Book. “We’re excited to see how we improve over the next 14 weeks!” The Dutch head to the North Side on Thursday night to compete against The West Ottawa Panthers. The meet begins at 6:00pm.
