On Wednesday, the Holland soccer team traveled to Zeeland East and tied the 13th-ranked Chix 1-1. Midway through the first half, Leah Margaron gave the ball to Dee Rumpsa, who slotted a ball to a driving Lesly Garcia, who scored for the Dutch. Unfortunately, Zeeland East put a lot of pressure on the Holland net and scored the tying goal with 4 minutes to play in the match. "Zeeland East is very dangerous," said Holland coach Greg Ceithaml. "I was happy that our transition attack gave us the lead, and I am proud of the way the defense held the Chix at bay. We are getting better, and it is fun to play competitive soccer." Holland is now 0-7-1.
