We are excited to announce the hiring of Holland's first ever Athlete Development Coordinator, Coach Mike Woodby! Coach Mike will have some middle school athletics duties but his primary focus will be on the development of our strength and conditioning program and leading training sessions in the summer as well as during the school year for in and out of season athletes. He holds a degree in athletic training from Messiah College in Pennsylvania, served four years as an athletic trainer at the collegiate level, 4 years as Director of Performance and Education at Optimal Performance Training Center, and holds a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification. In 2023, he moved to Holland with his wife, Jadee, and their dog, Alfie. He loves camping, triathlons, climbing, and mountain biking. "Second to my actual home, I feel most at home when I'm coaching on a hot day with a loud environment." "I can't express how stoked I am to invest in Holland Athletics by building a high performance environment that equips student-athletes to reach their goals and contribute to team and community success. Performance training not only helps teams WIN, but it provides a critical foundation for athletes to build autonomy and confidence in the process. I feel honored to be trusted as the catalyst for that process. Go Dutch!" Please join us in welcoming Mike Woodby to HPS! We'll announce official plans for our summer strength and conditioning program next week but families can plan on us starting June 8 and offering additional training sessions this year.
