On Monday night, the Holland varsity soccer team traveled to Zeeland West and beat the Dux 4-0. Luke Rund-Scott gave Holland the lead in the second half on an assist from Andi Andres. In the second half, Los Dutch broke open the score with three goals in three minutes. It started with a goal by Jovanny Carrillo from a cross by Pike Fletter. Fletter then added a goal himself by deflecting his shot off a Zeeland West defender and into the net. Hector Garcia capped the scoring with a long-range shot. The Holland defense helped goalies Simon Ozimek and Landon Van Ingen share the shutout, the 4th in a row for Los Dutch. "Zeeland West is an excellent team, and the score is misleading," said Holland coach Greg Ceithaml. "It was a very close match. We had some strong finishing in the second half, but both teams showed skill and determination." Holland is now 4-0-1. In JV action, Holland JV defeated Zeeland West 6-0.
