Your Holland Girls Swim and Dive Team travelled to Grand Haven for their second meet of the season. The Dutch lost the meet 77-99. "Grand Haven's team is very talented and almost three and a half times the size of our team. Our girls competed well and held their heads high," said head coach Tonya Book. Junior, Paige Frens had season best times and fourth place finishes in the 200 and 500 freestyle events. Sophomore, Sage Brown took fourth in the 200 Individual Medley and first in the 100 breaststroke with a season best time. Freshman, Emmi Prutch was fourth in the 50 free and in the 100 free where she took off two seconds from the first meet. Imagyn VanVeen placed first in the 100 backstroke with a season best time. Emma Valentine, Vivian Bolt and Ally Valentine went 4, 5 and 6 in diving. The Dutch will compete with Grand Rapids Christian at Calvin University on Tuesday, September 8. The meet begins at 7:00pm.
