Congratulations to Freshman Emma Valentine and Junior Imagyn VanVeen who both took second in their events last night at Calvin University in a dual meet with Grand Rapids Christian. Valentine placed second out of eight divers with a personal best score of 133.45. VanVeen had a PR in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:15.49 and a PR in the 100 backstroke with a 1:14.82. Sophomore, Sage Brown was third in the 200 Individual Medley and freshman, Emmi Prutch placed third in the 50 and 100 freestyle. “It was special to get the chance to compete against a large talented team at Calvin tonight,” said Coach Tonya Book. “Our girls had some really great events and we’re starting to find a rhythm.” The Dutch will compete at West Ottawa on Thursday night. The meet begins at 6:00pm.
