Jenison defeated Holland by an 8-1 score on September 9th. Jenison swept all five doubles matches, while Holland earned its lone point at No. 1 singles. Holland’s Floyd Webb claimed the top singles flight, defeating Jenison’s Drake Apol 6-2, 6-3. “Jenison is a tough team to beat and the benchmark is always high when we compete against them” said Coach Nguyen. He further adds: “While the team faces adversity like this, I know they have the capability to improve.” Holland will use this experience to learn and compete at the quad this Saturday against Grand Rapids Christian, St. Joseph, and Haslett.
