Your Holland Varsity Girls Swim and Dive Team beat Muskegon Mona Shores 100-83 in a very exciting meet last night at Muskegon High School. Winning individual events for The Dutch were: Freshman Avery Solomon in the 200 freestyle, Junior Ally Valentine in diving, Freshman Grace DuMez in the 100 freestyle, Junior Paige Frens in the 500 freestyle and Junior Imagyn VanVeen in the 100 backstroke. Sophomore Cesia Pedraza, Avery Solomon, Emma Schucker and VanVeen teamed up to win first in the 400 freestyle relay. “Our team has depth this year,” said Coach Tonya Book. “Not only did we take first place in 6 events, we also went two and three in nearly every other event.” Holland will host South Haven on Thursday night at The Holland Aquatic Center. The meet will begin at 6:30.
