In the second match of the afternoon, the Holland Men's Varsity Soccer Team defeated Walled Lake West 4-1. Josiah VanHekken scored twice and Ryland Vanderploeg and Andrew Legg each had goals for Los Dutch. Odis Fickel had two assists and Armondo Gonzales assisted in the match. Walled Lake West scored a late PK to cap the scoring. "I am happy with the way we played today," said Holland coach Greg Ceithaml. "It is still very early in the season, but we are starting to move the ball more effectively. Hopefully, we can continue to improve our pace of play." Holland is now 3-1 and travel to Spring Lake on Monday.
