On Wednesday night, Holland Men's Varsity Soccer defeated Holland Christian 3-0. Los Dutch scored in the first half when Luis Parra passed a through ball to Odis Fickel. Despite being down 0-1, Holland Christian surged in the second half and gained momentum. Holland turned it around with a second goal on an individual effort by Odis Fickel with an impressive finish. Josiah VanHekken capped the scoring when he converted a pass from Mm'Unga Kilozo. Goalies Josh Keller and Mark Jordan shared the shut-out. "Holland Christian is a hard-working team and the game was closer than the score suggests," said Holland coach Greg Ceithaml. "I was happy we were able to finish, and I am especially proud of our defense who continue to play well." Holland is now 9-1-1. In JV action, the Holland JV team defeated Holland Christian 4-0. The Holland JV team is now 10-0.
