Holland Public Schools

Holland hosted The Hawkeyes of Hamilton at The Holland Aquatic Center Tuesday night. The overall win went to Hamilton, but The Dutch battled hard. Senior Miriam Lopez-Koolhaas got the win in her 100 yard freestyle race with a time of 59.82. Holland’s freshmen scored big with points coming from Olivia Bernal in the 200 and 100 freestyle, Imagyn VanVeen in the 200 freestyle, Ardynn DeBoer in the 50 free and 100 backstroke, Ally Valentine in diving, Lena D’Adonna and Sydney McFarland in the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke, and Paige Frens in the 100 back. Scoring for the Juniors went to Maggie Telgenhof in diving and Ayanna Rodriguez in backstroke. Contributing seniors were Karinna Martinez and Danielle Hughes in the 500 freestyle, Morgan Siffin in the 200 IM and Lopez-Koolhaas in the 50 free. The Dutch will host their annual Holland Invite this Saturday at The HAC. The meet will begin at noon.
