Swimming (Girls Varsity) Scores

The Holland Varsity Girls Swim and Dive Team traveled to Spring Lake last night for a dual meet with The Lakers. The Dutch were led by junior Maggie Telgenhof who took the win in diving with a lifetime high score of 174.75 and a third place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a PR of 1:27.81. Senior Miriam Lopez-Koolhaas took second in the 500 freestyle with a PR of 6:21.48 and second in the 100 breaststroke going 1:27.63, a personal best for her in that event. Senior Rilee Hoebbel went 1:18.47 in the 100 backstroke, securing a second place finish and going a half second faster than her previous swim. “This team is encouraging of each other and very willing to learn. We keep getting better with every meet,” said Coach Tonya Book. The Dutch will travel to Calvin University for their next meet against Grand Rapids Christian on Tuesday, October 1. The Meet will begin at 7:00pm.
