Holland Swim and Dive went to Hamilton tonight for a double dual meet with The Hawkeyes and The Orioles of Ludington. The Dutch took the loss against The Hawkeyes, but were able to get a win against Ludington. Freshman, Aiden Lambers anchored the medley relay for a season best time of 1:49.63. Drawing The Dutch a second closer and a second away from the D3 State Cut in that event, and placing second overall. Harper Prutch led off with backstroke, then Davian Johnson with breaststroke and Landon Van Ingen in Butterfly. Prutch took second place in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke as well. Lambers placed second in the 500 freestyle and Johnson was second in the 100 breaststroke. “There were some good swims tonight. Not great. After missing 3 practices and a meet due to snow days, we didn’t race our best. We’ll work harder and be ready next week against HC”, said Coach Tonya Book. The Dutch will travel to Muskegon on Thursday 1/30 and then host Holland Christian at The Holland Aquatic Center on Tuesday, February 4.
