Holland had an exceptional night of swimming against Holland Christian at The Holland Aquatic Center tonight. The Medley Relay team of senior Harper Prutch, senior Davian Johnson, sophomore Landon Van Ingen and senior Gabe Bos got the meet off to a great start by qualifying for the Division 3 state meet. In the next event, freshman Aiden Lambers won the 200 freestyle with a personal best time. In the 100 butterfly, Harper Prutch swam a close second place finish to HC but clenched another state cut. With only a few minutes to rest, he was racing again. This time he won the 100 backstroke and finished out the night with his third state meet qualification. In the last individual event of the night, Davian Johnson took the win in the 100 breaststroke with a personal best time. “We had some fantastic swims tonight by every single member of the team. We are very proud of these boys!” Exclaimed Coach Tonya Book. The Dutch will travel to Spring Lake on Wednesday, February 12 for their next meet.
