DO YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO PLAY A SPRING SPORT??? Spring sports are right around the corner and we are excited to offer boys volleyball as a club sport option for this spring! All high school spring sports, including boys volleyball, begin next Monday, March 10. Middle School spring sports begin March 17. Requirements for boys volleyball will be the same as all of our other sports including needing to be signed up on Final Forms, have an updated physical examination form on file, and all electronic forms signed on Final Forms. Boys Volleyball, because it is starting out as a club sport, will also require a $100 pay to participate fee. You can pay this fee in the high school athletic office. We do not expect to have to make any cuts this year but the fee would be refunded to you if that were the case. We want to have as many people as possible playing in our inaugural season, and we do have money available to assist anyone who is not able to pay the participation fee. Please contact our office so we can arrange to cover this for you if this is a barrier to participation. Events like our Return 2 The Dome alumni game and the Holland Police and Fire softball game fundraisers have offered us the opportunity to assist in situations like these. Holland High teacher and former girls volleyball coach Mark VanHarmelen will be coaching the team this spring so any specific volleyball questions can be directed to him at mvanharm@hollandpublicschools.org If you have any further questions about boys volleyball or any of our spring sports, please reach out to us in the athletic office or directly to your coach.
