The Holland varsity softball team traveled to Wyoming for a single game on Tuesday afternoon, leaving with the loss. The Dutch held a 13-9 lead heading into the bottom of the 7th inning but were unable to hold on to the lead. Ryleigh Luna took the loss for the Dutch on the mound. Nevaeh Ramos, Elyssa Kelley, and Morgan Siffin had multiple hits for Holland. Daisy Byrd, Aspen Boes, Amaris DeLeon, Addyson Hill, and Baylee Rittenhouse each added a hit. "I am extremely proud in how we battled today. The game was back and forth the entire time. It would have been easy for both teams to fold but neither did. We played better today defensively and hit well enough to win, but they found a way to get it done in the end. This isn't an easy loss to take but we will be better for it having gone through it", said coach Hill. The Dutch will be back at it again on Wednesday as they welcome Grand Rapids Union to town for a non-conference double header.
