On a sunny Friday afternoon, the OK Black’s best athletes gathered at Zeeland Stadium to chase medals, points and their best performances of the season. The Dutch were led in by senior Harper Prutch, who scored points in all four of his events. Prutch scored 11.5 points on the day, and earned an All-Conference medal. Freshman sensation, Tray Knox was not far behind, also scoring 9 points through four events. All athletes who placed in the top 8 in any event earned points for the Dutch. 2nd Place: Harper Prutch - 400m 4th Place finishers: 800m Relay Team of Jamonte Rodgers, Prutch, Finn Galloway, Tray Knox 1600m Relay Team of Galloway, Rian Powers, Naz Estrada, Prutch 5th Place finishers: Knox - 200m, Rodgers - Long Jump, Seth Rodriguez - Discus 3200m Relay Team of Powers, Estrada, Simon Ozimek, Grayden Prince Arthur Powell - High Jump (5th place tie) 6th Place finishers: Knox - 100m 400m Relay Team of Rodgers, Yann Gutierrez, Xander Esparza, Knox 8th Place finishers: Prutch - 110m Hurdles, Estrada - 300m Hurdles Points Scored: 46.5 11.5 - Harper Prutch 9 - Tray Knox 6 - Jamonte Rodgers 4 - Seth Rodriguez 3.5 - Arthur Powell 3.5 - Finn Galloway 3.25 - Naz Estrada 2.25 - Rian Powers 1 - Simon Ozimek 1 - Grayden Prince .75 - Xander Esparza .75 -Yann Gutierrez The boys set 11 PRs on the day and ran a season best in one relay. A select group of athletes will compete at Allendale next Saturday for Regional competition, while a number of other athletes will compete at the OK Black’s JV Conference meet at Spring Lake on Tuesday.
