Holland Public Schools

The Holland Dutch baseball team hosted the Thornapple Kellogg Trojans in a non-conference, single game and kept them scoreless for a 3-0 win. The Dutch scored all their runs in the first inning, scoring all three within the first seven batters. On the mound, Senior Gabe Bos spun a gem, keeping the Trojans to only one hit over a 59-pitch complete game. He struck out two and walked one, earning his second win of the season. At the plate, Sophomore Ethan Byrd led the Dutch by starting the scoring with a two-RBI double to the left field fence. He also had a single. Senior Abel Walkotten and Junior Jay Cantu each had a single to fill out the remaining Dutch offense. The Dutch improved to 5-12 and remain 1-11 in the OK Black.
