The Holland High Varsity Tennis team hosted Wayland on Monday, in preparation for Wednesday's regional tournament. The Dutch swept singles and followed it up by taking all four doubles matches as well. "It feels great to get a win like this," said Holland coach Kyle Kreps. "Wayland is well coached and pushed us at multiple flights. I'm happy for the seniors that they could win their last match on the Tiger Teusink Courts." It was also Senior Day. Holland recognized Amelia Chmura, Lucy Green, Kiernan Grigg, Rilee Hoebbel, Jakiya Patton, Abby Sanchez, Haleigh Souder, and Remi VanFarowe before the match. During their four years, Holland had a record of 17-3-4 in conference play and 49-19-7 overall. To go along with this, the Dutch won three quads, and the biggest highlight of all was a conference championship in 2023, the program's first since 2007. Most importantly, the team has earned Academic All-State status every year. The program thank the seniors and their families for their hard work and commitment to the program.
