On Wednesday, Holland hosted Holland Christian and lost 5-1. In a very competitive first half with the Maroons scoring first, but Holland tied it up when Lesly Garcia-Juarez outmaneuvered three defenders and the keeper to score an unassisted goal. Sadly, the Holland team conceded 4 goals in the last 18 minutes of the second half. "Holland Christian is athletic and organized," said Holland coach Greg Ceithaml. "I was really happy with the way we played in the first half and the start of the second half. We passed well and played excellent defense." Holland is now 4-12. Holland plays Black River at Van Andel Soccer Stadium at Hope College.
