Dutch XC Teams Start Strong

The Holland cross country teams had a strong start to the season today at the Muskegon Catholic Central Invite. The girls team won the D2/D1 race with a dominant score of 18. Johanna Mulder led the way with a winning time of 18:55, followed by Olivia Weiss in second at 20:02. Ashlyn Depoy (4th), Lexi Gibson (5th), and Tessa Neinhuis (6th) rounded out the scoring for the Dutch. On the boys side, Holland scored 42 points in a head-to-head matchup with Grand Haven. Aiden Lambers led the team with a 3rd-place finish in 17:24. Rian Powers (7th), Luke Arendshorst (11th), Ale Castillo (13th), and Ryan Geerts (16th) completed the scoring. The team’s next race is the MSU Invitational on September 12.
