Bell Rings for Frens in the 500 Holland High School's Paige Frens won the 500 freestyle against South Haven at the Holland Aquatic Center on Thursday, October 2. Frens took ten seconds off her previous time for a personal best time of 6:39.49. She also placed third in the 50 freestyle. Maggie Telgenhof won the diving round with a score of 153.40 and Ally Valentine placed second. Sophomore Sage Brown tied for second place with a personal best time in the 200 Individual Medley and fellow sophomore Olivia Bernal placed second in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events. Lena D'Addona took third in the 200 freestyle and Imagyn VanVeen went third in the 100 butterfly and second in backstroke. Telgenhof finished off the individual events with a third place finish in breaststroke. "Once again we showed some major improvements in our racing," said Coach Tonya Book. "This team supports each other well and the encouragement is contagious!" Holland will host Spring Lake on Tuesday, October 7 at 6:30pm at The Holland Aquatic Center.
