Holland defeats South Christian 4-1 to advance to the District Tournament Championship

Holland Soccer defeated South Christian 4-1 to advance to the District Championship game on Thursday. Holland opened the scoring with a goal from Luke Rund-Scott who received the ball from Josiah VanHekken. The Dutch took the 1-0 lead into halftime. In the second half, Rund-Scott played the ball to Santiago Salazar for a beautiful finish. Salazar pushed the ball to Caelen Gray for the third game of the match, and VanHekken finished the scoring with a goal assisted by Aime Kibango. Holland conceded a goal to create the final 4-1 score. "South Christian is an excellent program," said Holland coach Greg Ceithaml. "I was really happy with the way the guys played tonight. Our goalie and defense did an incredible job, and our midfield and forwards were very efficient. It was a good win to build momentum going into Thursday's championship against a very strong Unity Christian team." Holland is now 11-4-5 and plays Unity Christian in the District 21 Final on Thursday night at 7:15 at Holland Christian.
