Holland Dutch Swim and Dive lost to Holland Christian in the last dual meet of the season. Freshman Ale Rojas swam personal best times in the 200 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. Newcomer and freshman Isabella Jarquin-Palacios swam the 200 freestyle and the 100 backstroke for the very first time. Sophomore Olivia Bernal placed third in both the 50 and 100 freestyle. Sophomore Imagyn VanVeen took second in the 100 backstroke and Senior Maggie Telgenhof was third in the 100 breaststroke. “The team is starting to feel the effects of a long, hard season,” said Coach Tonya Book. “We will continue to push hard for a few more days and then it’s taper for conference.” Conference will be held at The Holland Aquatic Center on November 7 and 8.
