Holland Public Schools

The Holland Dutch hosted the Zeeland East Chix for on Tuesday afternoon for their first contest after Spring Break. The bats were quiet and the defense struggled en route to a 14-0 loss to the defending conference champs. The Dutch were able to put together only two hits - a single each by Senior Jacob Torres and Junior Tanner Kingery. On the mound, Senior Gabe Bos put together 2 2/3 innings allowing 12 runs - of which only 2 were earned due to errors. He struck out one and walked one. Fellow Senior Cody Rozema pitched the remaining 2 1/3, allowing 2 earned runs on 4 hits and 2 walks. He added a strikeout to the total as well. Game two of the doubleheader was postponed and will be played at Zeeland East on Thursday, April 17 starting at 4:00 PM. The Dutch dropped to 0-4 and 0-4 in the OK Black.
