Your Holland Dutch Varsity Swim and Dive team travelled to Ludington High School for a double dual meet with The Orioles of Ludington and the Packers of Fremont. Holland won both meets with a triumphant second half. Senior Harper Prutch took first place in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. Freshman Aiden Lambers pulled out a win in his 500 with an exciting and nail biting finish to hold off Ludington’s Jaden Vronko in the final strokes. Senior Davian Johnson and Sophomore Luke Arendshorst went one and two in the 100 breaststroke. Both with season best times of 1:09.27 and 1:11.59 respectively. Sophomore Landon Van Ingen took second in the 200 Individual Medley and third in the 100 freestyle. Divers Hank Webb and Keegan Welsh took second and third in the meet showing solid improvement. “Even after a two hour bus ride, these guys got hype and swam fast with fights to the finish. We are incredibly proud of their attitudes and work ethic.” Said Coach Tonya Book. In The Dutch will go North to Muskegon on January 21 for their next meet.
